Opret Advice Office, established in 2000 and registered in 2001, is a community-based organisation located in Mokopane, Limpopo. The organisation provides paralegal, psychosocial, and human rights services, with a strong focus on ending gender-based violence (GBV). In partnership with SCAT, Opret has successfully intervened in complex GBV cases, supported survivors, and advocated for justice and protection. Highlights include the invitation of their supervisor, Nthabiseng Mmina, to the 69th UN Commission on the Status of Women and GBVF-related training contributions. Opret remains a vital local player in promoting dignity, equality, and safety for all, especially women, children, and other vulnerable groups.
