Aletuke Community Care Centre is a professionally managed and committed Non-Profit Organization focused on improving the lives of Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVCs), Youth and their communities. “Aletuke” means ‘Brightening the Light of All’ in Sepedi and that’s what it aims to do through serving the four areas of Moshate, Sekgakgapeng, Mzumbane and Mountainview. What began simply as a means to assist the elderly and sick grew into a home-based care organization founded on 4 Oct 2004. As the growing epidemic of HIV/AIDS impacted the community, Aletuke needed to expand to accommodate the large number of OVCs left behind, thus the drop-in centre was added. Today, over 1000 children are being serviced through Aletuke and its neighbouring satellite sites.
